  1. BLACK & ORANGE DAY is Monday! To ensure that there is no confusion (or tears) on this fun day, a few quick reminders:
    • Students are invited to wear black and/or orange coloured clothing to school.
    • Halloween costumes are not permitted.
    • In keeping with our Healthy Foods Policy and out of respect for parents who choose not to give their child sweets, we would like to remind you to please leave all candy and sweets at home.
  2. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Please note that the final date for our AGM is Wed, Jan 18, 2017. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you there!
  3. BAKE SALE The Upper Elementary class will be holding a small bake sale on Mon, Oct 31st. Delicious baked goods will be on sale from 11:15-11:30am for morning Casa pick-up and 3:00-3:30pm for Elementary and afternoon Casa pick-up.
  4. INFANT & TODDLER There are still a couple of spots left in both the infant & toddler classes for the January & April sessions. Attached please find the application form. Feel free to send it to friends & family!
  5. REMEMRANCE DAY is Fri, Nov 11th. School will not be in session.
  6. PRO D DAY is scheduled for Mon, Nov 14th. School will not be in session.

Casa

  1. ONLINE PARENTING PROGRAM There are still subscriptions available for the online Montessori parenting program “Seeing your Child the Montessori Way”. For more information and a direct link please see the attached information sheet to register and get started! This opportunity has now been opened up to the Elementary parents as well.

Extended-day Kindergarten

  1. MOVIE NIGHT A reminder for those that registered that tonight is movie night from approximately 3:20-4:45pm.
  2. EXTENDED-DAY KINDERGARTEN PE The Extended-day K students will continue with Sportball on Tuesday and have PE in-house on Thursday next week.
  3. ONLINE PARENTING PROGRAM A gift certificate has been placed in your family pocket for the online Montessori parenting program “Seeing your Child the Montessori Way”. This is a terrific platform to ask parenting questions and gain important insight and information about Montessori education and your child’s development. We would love to see all parents taking advantage of this gift! For more information and a direct link please see the attached information sheet to register and get started! There are a limited number of subscriptions so register early!

Elementary

  3. LOWER ELEMENTARY FIELDTRIP The Lower El students will be going on a fieldtrip to Carousel Theatre on Fri, Nov 4th. Please complete and submit the attached permission form on or before 8:30am Mon, Oct 31st.
  4. UPPER ELEMENTARY PE The Upper El students will be bouldering for PE next week. Please sign and submit the attached permission form and waiver on or before 8:30am Mon, Oct 31st.
  5. UPPER ELEMENTARY FIELDTRIP The Upper El students will be going on a fieldtrip to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on Thurs, Nov 3rd. Please complete and submit the attached permission form on or before 8:30am Mon, Oct 31st.

  7. FREE DRESS DAY Our next Free Dress Day is tomorrow Fri, Oct 28th. Students donate a minimum of $1.00 to their teacher upon entering the classroom first thing in the morning to wear their choice of clothing rather than the school uniform. Students must wear appropriate footwear, clothes must be in good repair and hats/gloves are not permitted to be worn inside the classroom.
