Weekly Memo April 19


  1. INFANT & TODDLER PARENT DISCOVERY Please join us for the Infant & Toddler Parent Discovery Evening “Supporting your Toddler in the Home” on Tues, Apr 24th from 6:30-7:30pmOn this evening, Christie will discuss room set-up (bedroom/playroom/kitchen/etc.) and how the functioning of space can lead to greater independence and cooperation from your toddler.  There will also be time to discuss the importance of routines, positive discipline, and any other questions you may have. The sign-up sheet is posted on the IT bulletin board.
  2. PRO D DAY Reminder that tomorrow Fri, Apr 20th is a Pro D Day. School will not be in session.

Extended-day Kindergarten

  1. EXTENDED-DAY PE The Extended-day students will continue with Sportball for PE next week.
  2. FOODIE KIDS is Wed, Apr 25th for those families that ordered.


  1. TRACK MEET VOLUNTEERS If you are able to help out at this year’s track meet on Thur, May 24th please email Jeanne. Please also include the time you are available and if you have First Aid. Thanks so much for your help!
  2. LOWER ELEMENTARY PE The LE students will take a fieldtrip on Tuesday and have track & field on Thursday next week.
  3. LOWER ELEMENTARY FIELDTRIP The LE students will be taking a fieldtrip to Burnaby Village Museum Tues, Apr 24th. Please complete and submit the attached permission form on or before Mon, Apr 23rd.
  4. UPPER ELEMENTARY PE The UE students will be at Outdoor School on Tuesday and have track & field on Thursday next week.
  5. UPPER ELEMENTARY OUTDOOR SCHOOL The UE students are at Camp Jubliee from Mon, Apr 23rd to Wed, Apr 25th. Please see Mar 20th email for further details including drop-off and pick-up times.
  6. FOODIE KIDS is Wed, Apr 25th for those families that ordered.
  7. FREE DRESS DAY Our next Free Dress Day is Fri, Apr 27th. Students donate a minimum of $1.00 to their teacher upon entering the classroom first thing in the morning to wear their choice of clothing rather than the school uniform. Students must wear appropriate footwear, clothes must be in good repair and hats are not permitted to be worn inside the classroom.
