I am Brooke Turner, Head Teacher of the Lower Elementary.  I have been part of the North Star Community for the past 6 years.

This summer was all about reconnecting with family and exploring Canada. I began with a trip up to the Yukon to visit my aunt and uncle who moved to Whitehorse a few years ago. My aunt is also a Montessori guide and she is the one who inspired me to pursue my own teaching path. She is working at a school there so it was wonderful to visit another Montessori school and to explore a bit of the Yukon. After that, I flew to my home province of Ontario to reconnect with friends and family there. I spent some time in Toronto and London, and then spent a week at a cottage near Wiarton with all of my extended family. It was fun to reconnect with everyone and explore the beauty of Georgian Bay in the summer but I was also eager to come home to beautiful B.C. and the community at North Star!
